Home Land and Private Lakes for Albert Burney Auction

Published May 27th, 2009

A 5,500-square-foot home and approximately 171 acres of land — including two stocked lakes — will sell at auction Tuesday, June 23, with Albert Burney Auction Company managing the sale.

The property will sell in three parcels:
– The home on approximately 34 acres, including a 10-acre lake stocked with bass and crappie. Set on a wooded estate at the end of a half-mile driveway, the home includes four bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths, a screened porch, guest quarters and a wrought iron fence enclosing approximately two acres.

– Approximately 31 acres of mostly wooded land, with an office building, a construction barn and a pavilion. The office building has seven offices and a conference room. The barn and pavilion are large enough for heavy construction equipment.

– Approximately 106 acres with a 22-acre lake stocked with bass and crappie. The land also has an area of approximately five acres that may be flooded for duck hunting. Much of it is planted in pine that will be ready for harvest in several years.

“These properties have enormous potential for outdoor recreation, investment or estate-size home sites. The land in this area is gorgeous. While we will offer the three parcels individually, bidders may also combine any two parcels or on all three parcels. The properties will sell in the combination that brings the highest overall price to the seller,” said Warren Ward, president of the auction company.
