Daniel P. McLaughlin & Co. Auctioneers, of Boston, will conduct a foreclosure auction on the 125,000-square-foot mill building located at 15 Cottage St. property at 11 am. on Jan. 6 at the premises. The building formerly housed Easthampton Dye Works, a factory that made colored thread.

The 120-acre property, which includes a nine-hole golf course, tennis courts, pools and a new clubhouse has a reserve of $2.9 million. It is being sold off by Susquehanna Banks, which foreclosed on the property.
The auction is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 9 at the Adams County Sheriff’s office.

Hudson & Marshall will auction nearly 200 bank-owned foreclosures in cities throughout Texas December 15th-21st. About 80 homes will be auctioned in Houston and another 65 in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
According to the Mortgage Bankers Association’s latest delinquency survey, at the end of the third quarter of 2008, the delinquency rate for all outstanding loans on one to four unit residential properties was about 7%. Inland Real Estate Auctions, Inc. has announced the successful sale of a 65-acre industrial development site in Seneca, Ill. During the recent auction, the property sold for $2.85 million, or nearly $44,000 per acre, around 60 percent higher than the minimum bid of $26,000 per acre. The property also sold for more than its last appraised value of $40,000 per acre.
