St. Alban’s Episcopal School Auction

PUBLISHED 1 July 2008

The defunct St. Alban’s Episcopal School’s distinctive campus, with its castle-shaped building, is slated for sale at foreclosure auction this morning at the Tarrant County Courthouse, 100 W. Weatherford St. in Fort Worth. The school, which filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in October, owed mortgage company Foundation Capital Resources more than $4.5 million on the property and buildings at 5200 S. Bowen Road. The longtime Arlington institution closed last summer, weeks before classes were to begin. A judge had given attorney Marilyn Garner, the bankruptcy trustee, until Monday to sell the property. www.star-telegram.com
