On Tuesday, 7,000 homes were auctioned off on the steps of the Fulton County Courthouse.

There were 2.2 million foreclosure filings in 2007. California had the highest number of foreclosures: over 480,000. Georgia had the 7th highest foreclosure rate in the nation.
