An exchange official said the hotels, located in 24 provinces across China, would be subject to further valuation but would be worth a total of at least 4 billion yuan ($541 million).

An “unrealistic” offer of €1.2m was disappointingly the only offer made on a 115ac Co Kildare farm.
Kehoe Auctioneers in Carlow were forced to withdraw the 115ac holding at Castledermot, Co Kildare, from auction on Thursday.
They had been quoting a guide price of €2m.
“We’re still looking for €2m but we did not get where we needed to be on Thursday,” said auctioneer Eoin Kehoe.
“It’s a 115ac farm, it’s very well located close to the new roadway system, and Castledermot is only 40 miles from Dublin.
“A small portion of the farm would …

Two properties coming up for sale in the next Dreweatt Neate auction – terraced houses that have seen use as a shared letting property and a hairdressing salon with planning permission for conversion to two single bedroom flats – are typical buy-to-let investments.
Both are …

London auctioneer Allsop’s prediction that 40% of properties under the hammer next year will be repossessions means there will be some attractive opportunities for brave long-term buy-to-let investors.
Figures from Essential Information Group, which monitors all UK auctions, shows that the number of lots left unsold has risen from 24% this time last year to 40%, indicating that in an uncertain market, buyers are reluctant to take a chance.
