Hong Kong government to auction Tai Po residential site

The Hong Kong government said it will sell a residential site in Tai Po through a public auction on September 17.

The sale will mark the government’s fifth land auction in the current financial year to March 2008.

The government said it has received a bid from a developer for the Tai Po site, triggering an auction under the application list system.

A government spokesman said an unidentified developer submitted a bid of 3.08 bln hkd for a 22,126 -square metre site at Tai Po Town Lot No. 186 at Pak Shek Kok Development Area.
