Dubai council to auction leases

Dubai Municipality will auction leases for villas and shops it has built on Jumeirah Road, Gulf News reported. Leases on 12 commercial villas and 12 shops will be offered to the highest bidder. Rents for premises are between Dhs170-230 per sqft, and there will be no rental increases for five years, an official said. The auction will take place on 18 and 19 April at the Dubai Municipality Club in Jaddaf.
