The St. Louis-based owner of a huge, vacant Muncie manufacturing facility is putting the building on the auction block in an attempt to find a new owner and possible tenant.

Tranzon, a national auction company, will attempt to auction off the former ABB Power T&D Co., Inc. building to the highest bidder Nov. 28.

ABB produced large transformers at the building before pulling out eight years ago. Officials said the structure has been well-maintained, and that a pollutant cleanup in front of the building is nearly complete and shouldn’t affect the auction.
