PUBLISHED 3 October 2006

The piano played by musician and television presenter Jools Holland on his tours for the past few years is due to go for auction.

Holland, 48, has played the Yamaha GT7 during performances with Sir Tom Jones, Sir Paul McCartney and Eric Clapton.

Proceeds from the sale by Bonhams auctioneers in London will go to the Drake Music Project, of which the presenter is a patron.

The piano has an estimated sale price of between £5,000 and £7,000, according to the lot details for the Antique, Modern Pianos and Keyboard Instruments Sale.
