aratoga County plans to sell 17 properties at its Sept. 19 auction. The parcels, all of which were taken by the county for failure to pay property taxes, range in size from 0.03 acres to 14.94 acres.
That said, the September auction is small compared to a county auction in March. In fact, past September auctions have been called off because property owners caught up with their overdue bills.
A tax map delineating parcel boundaries, as well as an aerial view of the properties, can be viewed by going to the county Web site at http://www.co.saratoga.ny.us and clicking on GIS Initiative. A tax parcel number, address or owner’s name is needed to find the property.
