Clatsop County will offer seven parcels of land at a public auction June 27.
Three of the properties are in Warrenton and contain wetlands. The largest is 6.51 acres off Ridge Road. Two parcels are in the Youngs River area and contain wetlands, flood dikes and some farmland. The smallest parcel in the auction is 0.13 acre in Elsie. A parcel in Taylorville is oddly shaped and access easement is questionable.

LAND prices have jumped by €7,000/ac in the first five months of this year, as the buoyant land market continues to grow.
A Farming Independent survey reveals that the average price of land auctioned so far this year is €25,889, a figure which is up €7,019/ac on farm sales last year. Last year saw 257 farms sold for an average of €18,870/ac.

Moving ahead in its pursuit of disposing of 22 major hotel sites this year, the Delhi Development Authority on Monday sold off four sites for a total consideration of Rs.465.4 crores. However, while three of its sites failed to attract any buyers, DDA itself withdrew two sites at Dwarka as it is reworking the plans for them.

With the aid of an amended law on land distribution, experts from the construction industry hope to stimulate the residential market, which faces both a deficit of new projects and surging real estate prices.
At a round table at Interfax news agency last Thursday, experts said that local construction companies slowed down residential construction compared to the same period last year.
According to the St. Petersburg Union of Construction Companies, the offering of new apartments in the city this year decreased by 10 to 15 percent compared to its 2005 level.

The government\’s Privatization Council said it had accepted Century Properties Inc.\’s 1.432-billion peso offer to purchase a 4.8-hectare government property in the Makati financial district, which the International School used to occupy.
The property was earlier valued at 1.19 billion pesos.
Prior to this transaction, the government tried but failed to sell the asset in four public auctions conducted between 2000 and 2005.

In response to a lawsuit from Mayor-elect Cory Booker, a Superior Court judge barred Newark yesterday from selling city-owned land, saying sales since the May 9 election “squander public property and resources to benefit private interests.
Judge Patricia K. Costello, sitting in Newark, prohibited all non-auction sales of publicly owned land until June 15, when Booker and attorneys from the city are scheduled to appear in court.
