LAND prices hit a new high in Framlingham after 49.3 hectares (122 acres) sold in two lots at auction for $621,000 on Saturday.
Brian Hancock, of auctioning agents Brian O’Halloran and Co, said the auction of the land owned by Rita Neagle had produced an “unbelievable’’ result.
He said lot one, comprising a four-bedroom house on 38 hectares (94 acres) at 89 Stuarts Road, attracted more than 30 bids which opened at $300,000. Bids rose in $25,000, $10,000 and $5000 advances before a final bid of $100 secured the
property for $470,200.
