Ungandian MP’s house up for sale

PUBLISHED 12 May 2006

PADER Woman MP, Santa Okot’s house is being auctioned for failure to pay a loan of sh35m to Housing Finance Company.

The sh35m is balance of the sh50m loan she took to finance her campaigns in the last parliamentary elections and mobilise for NRM in her constituency.

Housing Finance Company through Speed Way Auctioneers and Property Managers, placed the sale advert in the press on March 9.

The four-bed roomed storey house on Plot 1171 Kiwatule, a city suburb, is valued at sh180m. Okot wants NRM to aid her.
