No bidders for Telgi’s properties

India - Auction of two prime properties owned by fake stamp paper racket kingpin Abdul Kareem Telgi was postponed for an indefinite period after nobody turned up to take part in the scheduled bidding on Thursday.

The income tax department called for auction of properties worth over Rs 6 crore in their effort to recover huge tax dues from Telgi who is at present cooling his heels at Yerawada Jail in Pune.

Authorities had invited people to bid for two properties on Mosque Road in Frazer Town and Brigade Road. However, nobody deposited the bid amount within the stipulated time, leading to the postponement of auctioning.

This is the second time in the recent times that these properties went without auctioning.
